At Dulcito Doodle, we prioritize the health, well-being, and socialization of our puppies to ensure they become lifelong companions for your family. Below is an overview of our comprehensive puppy care program, outlined in the Puppy Purchase Contract:
Health Guarantee
All puppies undergo a veterinarian wellness check before leaving our care and are up-to-date on vaccines and de-wormings.
New owners are required to take their puppy to a licensed vet within 48 hours of purchase for a checkup.
Continued vaccinations, including parvo, distemper, bordetella, leptospirosis, and rabies, must be administered by the buyer at recommended intervals up to 16 weeks.
Puppies should also be wormed every two weeks until 6 months and placed on heartworm prevention as directed by your vet.
Hereditary Illness Guarantee
Puppies are guaranteed against serious, life-threatening genetic illnesses until 1 year of age.
If a life-threatening condition (e.g., severe hip dysplasia, liver shunt) is diagnosed, written verification from a licensed vet must be provided.
PennHip evaluations (at the buyer's expense) are required to confirm any hip issues.
If verified, we will either replace the puppy or reimburse vet expenses up to the purchase price.
Daily Care and Socialization
Owners agree to maintain their puppy’s vaccinations, provide a healthy diet (we recommend Open Farm, Costco Kibble, or a balanced raw food diet), and ensure a clean, safe living environment.
We strongly encourage early obedience training and socialization to support proper behavioral development.
Spay/Neuter Agreement
Puppies sold with limited registration must be spayed/neutered between 18-24 months. Proof must be provided, and any breeding or failure to alter the puppy will result in a $5,000 penalty.
Deposit and Payment Terms
A $500 non-refundable deposit is required to hold your chosen puppy.
The remaining balance must be paid in cash or via Zelle at the time of pickup.
Shipping options are available at an additional cost, and all fees must be cleared before the puppy is shipped.

We specifically breed high-percentage poodle mixes (f1b & f1bb) to ensure coats with minimal shedding. However, as these are not pure poodles, some shedding may still occur. The amount of shedding can vary depending on the generation and specific mix.

We begin crate training as early as 3 weeks of age. However, your puppy will still need time to adjust to their new crate in your home. It’s completely normal for them to whine or need time to get comfortable in their new environment and with you.
Yes, they have been safely socialized with cats. We recommend continuing to socialize your puppy with your own cats to help build their confidence and ensure a smooth transition, as they may not be familiar with your specific pets.
Controlled Introductions:
Start at Home: Begin socializing in a controlled environment like your home or backyard. Introduce your puppy to new sounds, smells, and experiences in a safe manner.
Meet Friendly, Vaccinated Pets: Arrange controlled meet-ups with vaccinated, well-socialized pets to expose your puppy to other animals in a safe setting.
Positive Experiences:
Gradual Exposure: Introduce new experiences gradually, such as different surfaces, sounds, and people. Ensure these experiences are positive and rewarding for your puppy.
Treats and Praise: Use treats and praise to create positive associations with new experiences and people.
Puppy Classes:
Enroll in a Class: Look for puppy socialization classes that require vaccinations or proof of a healthy status to ensure the safety of all participants. It is strongly recommended to consult with your vet before enrolling in classes

Safe Outings:
Car Rides and Walks: Short, controlled car rides and walks in areas with minimal exposure to other dogs can help acclimate your puppy to different environments.
Avoid High-Risk Areas: Stay away from parks or areas with high dog traffic until your puppy is fully vaccinated.
Veterinary Guidance:
ALWAYS Consult Your Vet: Talk to your veterinarian about safe socialization practices and get recommendations on where and when it’s appropriate to expose your puppy to new environments.
By taking these precautions, you can help your puppy become well-adjusted while minimizing health risks.
Yes, these puppies are socialized with young children aged 3-8 years old. We recommend continuing to socialize your puppy and ensuring that safe boundaries are in place, along with proper training. While temperament is an important indicator of whether a puppy is a good fit for a family, consistent training and routine play a crucial role in their adjustment and behavior.
